The Ureshino region is a basin surrounded by mountains on the Nagasaki Prefecture side of the southwestern border, where tea fields are densely concentrated. The tea fields spread out in the mountains at an altitude of about 300m, and there is a lot of fog and large temperature differences, making it an ideal place for tea production. It is a representative production area for Uji tea.

Ureshino tea began in 1191 when Zen master Eisai of the Rinzai sect planted tea seeds he brought from his hometown.
The difference in temperature is what makes for delicious tea.
