Jozankei Dam, located north of Jozankei Onsen in Minami Ward, Sapporo, is located at an altitude of 400m.
The dam tunnel is managed by the Development Bureau and is not open to the public.
The tunnel maintains a temperature of 8°C both in summer and winter, making it ideal for storing tea .
The tea is stored in tunnels in multiple layers to prevent it from being affected by humidity.
