Fukuoka Prefecture is one of the three major Gyokuro producing areas.
Among them, Hoshino Village and Kurogi Town, the mecca of Gyokuro, are located in Yame City in the southern part of Fukuoka Prefecture, in the mountains on the border with Oita Prefecture.
Tea fields stretch along the cool river.
Located at an altitude of about 300m, the difference in temperature is the source of its sweetness.

This is gyokuro from Hoshino Village, the mecca of gyokuro in Fukuoka Prefecture. Located in a mountainous area at an altitude of 300 meters, it is often covered in fog and has large temperature differences, which produces gyokuro with a sweet and rich flavor.
It has a stronger tea leaf aroma and a deep color.
The tea is firm and can be enjoyed over a second or third brew.
