Yutaka Midori is a variety that is suitable for the deep steaming method. It has a very strong fragrance and a deep blue color.

Chiran Town is located in the center of the Satsuma Peninsula in Kagoshima Prefecture, now part of Minamikyushu City. The tea fields are spread out at an altitude of about 200m.
