Wakatake (若竹) is a matcha by Marukyu Koyamaen of Uji, Kyoto, made for lattes, drinks, and baking. It has a clear matcha aroma and astringency, so its flavor stays strong even when mixed with milk, butter, or cream. No flavorings, colorings, or additives are used.

Wakatake can also be used for commercial purposes, such as in cafes and bakeries.
Is Wakatake ceremonial grade?
No. Wakatake is made mainly as an ingredient for drinks and sweets. If you mostly drink matcha on its own, we recommend a usucha (thin tea) matcha such as Aoarashi or Isuzu.
