Tea from Ureshino, Saga Prefecture

Saga Prefecture's unique Tama Ryokucha Ureshino tea from Saga Prefecture is a type of tea called steamed Tama Ryokucha, which is made using a special method.
Regular sencha is steamed and then refined and rolled, but steamed tamaryokucha does not go through this process and is simply dried in a drum.
This means that the fresh leaves are not damaged, the tea ingredients are easily extracted, and the astringency is reduced, bringing out the tea's original flavor.


Our Furi Furi cold-brewed Sencha uses this tea, so it is less likely to become bitter and can be left to steep for a day and still be delicious.
